Short, because we collect almost nothing.
Email address — only if you sign in, only to send you a sign-in link. No password exists to leak.
Your votes — stored once per card, never changed, visible only to you. Public tallies are aggregate counts; nobody can see which way you voted.
Your follows — the topics and bills you explicitly chose, used only to fill your bell and (later, if you opt in) an email digest.
No tracking pixels, no advertising, no selling or sharing your data with anyone. No inferring your politics from your behaviour — the only personalisation is what you explicitly chose (that promise is also on the methodology page). No engagement mechanics designed to keep you scrolling. We'd rather you read three cards and leave informed.
Data is stored with Supabase (database, Sydney, Australia) and served via Vercel (hosting). Sign-in emails are delivered via SMTP.com. Each processes data only as needed to run this site. Vercel and SMTP.com operate infrastructure outside Australia, so your email address may transit overseas systems in the course of serving the site and delivering sign-in links.
Want your account and votes deleted? Email register@thefloor.com.au from your sign-in address and it's done — corrections to cards are welcome at the same address.
